Vision Statement

 

 

Our vision statement of Belonging and Growing in God…Together paints the picture of a faith community that truly feels connected to the Source of All Our Being and to one another.

 

St. Paul-Calvary UMC is striving toward a day when “every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”  As a result, we desire to make all children of God feel welcomed and valued.  This sense of belonging as a family is very important to us and, we believe, to God’s Reign.

 

When you walk in the door or meet us in the community, we want you to feel as if you have attended an awesome family reunion…a place where you are loved and cherished without conditions.  We envision a day when the church is full of laughter and love, singing songs of praise to God from the lips of a diverse Body of Christ. 

 

We believe worship forms the faith of each individual.  Yet, worship is only one part of spiritual growth and maturity.  It is our desire to help you continue to grow in your relationship with Christ through various spiritual formation activities and small groups.  Sunday School, Wednesday night Bible studies, fellowship activities, prayer groups, missions, and outreach are some of these possibilities.  St. Paul-Calvary UMC envisions the future when each attendee participates in multiple small groups and witnesses their faith through the way they live in community with others.
